It may be the week before Thanksgiving but I say it’s never too early to start thinking about beautiful winter weddings! And if you’re planning one then maybe this collection of my favorite grey and white wedding images will help inspire you. Grey is simple and elegant and the perfect color for a winter wedding!
We may not have much snow in Arizona but for those of us who call it home it means we need to put in a little extra effort. When planning a gorgeous winter wedding think simple and clean. White is always a classic choice for your flowers and table setting. But don’t use stark, bright white everywhere. Use different creams and soft whites to provide a beautiful backdrop that won’t blind your guests. Table cloths with embroidered patterns are wonderful because that add that extra touch of detail without becoming overwhelming.
Just like in my previous post about the mint wedding, don’t be afraid of wearing a wedding dress that’s not white. I think the grey and silver dresses out there are absolutely gorgeous. Vera Wang even came out with a line of silver dresses recently and they are worth taking a look at. I’m a sucker for a man in a grey suit. With a white backdrop you and your man will look amazing. But since your and groom are in grey consider putting your bridesmaids in white. They will look gorgeous and I say it’s time let go of the stereotypes.
I talked about escort cards in my last Simply Elegant Tip, and for your winter wedding the escort cards and the wedding favors can serve double duty. Use an ornament that your guests will actually enjoy taking home and adding to their Christmas tree every year.
