More and more brides today are shying away from the tradition of escort cards. For smaller, less formal weddings I think it’s a great Idea. But I believe the escort card still has its place in the modern wedding. Especially if you have a large gathering where all your guests may not know each other, escort cards take the guess work out of choosing a table and possibly alienating some of your friends. But the tradition needs some updating and there are new trends that I love. Escort cards don’t need to be cards and they can serve double duty at your wedding. Champagne glasses with names are a lot of fun and when everyone is seated you can make a toast! A glass dipped in chalkboard paint is a personal favorite. Your guests will find their seat and be able to keep track of their glass for the rest of the night.
